About Me

Hey there!  Just wanted to take a minute to tell you a little about myself.  I’m Lindsey, the one behind the camera at Lindsey Walker Photography.  I picked up a camera in 2006, mostly shooting landscapes.  I must admit, I am a BIG introvert and never had an interest when I started this whole photography thing of photographing people.  I had a career as a sonographer, and just was doing photography as a hobby.  A few friends had babies around the time I was really getting to learning my camera, so I started practicing on them…because, well, who doesn’t love babies?!?!  Well, it was instant love.  I started taking classes (online and in person) and really diving into building a portfolio in 2008.  I started out in business as a lot of photographers do–shooting anything & everything.  Families, seniors, babies, events, a few weddings for friends.  I soon discovered that between my full time sonography career & my business on the side that I was getting burnt out, and FAST.  I had to sit down and really think about why I got into it as a business in the first place and where my true passion lied.  BABIES.  I love ’em.  Can’t get enough of them.  Everything about them is so perfectly perfect and deserves to be captured.  So I began slowly honing in on maternity, newborns, and babies up to a year.  I mentored with two of the top newborn photographers in the country in 2011 and 2013.  I wanted to learn everything the right way–how to perfect poses and lighting all while keeping baby’s comfort and safety as the number one priority.  When I had my son in 2014 I cut back to part time at my sonography job, and then when we relocated to Knoxville in the spring of 2016 I left it all together to just focus on my business and being a mom.  God has blessed me immensely to be able to have a job I’m so passionate about AND be home so much with my son while he’s young.

I truly hope that my love for this shines in my work, and I take great honor in being chosen as your photographer.  There are a lot of photographers out there, so it really does mean a lot when someone chooses me and my style.  Thanks again for visiting my site and I hope to hear from you soon!
